AUGUSTINE UNIVERSITY SECOND RESARCH FAIR

THEME: THE CHALLENGE OF UNDERDEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA LEVERAGING ENDOGENOUS RESEARCH AND INNOVATION FOR DEVELOPMENT.  On May 31, 2023, the university hosted a seminar for the student at the convocation hall, also inviting other school authorities to the venue scheduled at 10:00 am.  The program was hosted by Mr Ogunyomi, one of our philosophy lecturers. he took to the stage welcoming us and other people to the high table such as the governor of Lagos state, the vice-chancellor, the dean of student affairs, the Head of the department of humanities and social sciences and the department of science, the Reverend father, Acting bursar, registrar and other authorities from the other schools/ university that where invited.  The priest gave his blessing, followed by the national anthem and Augustine's anthem. SEMINAR FOR AUGUSTINE UNIVERSITY MASS COMMUNICATION STUDENTS

On Tuesday 9th of May 2023, a seminar was conducted for all the students of the Department of Mass Communication and Media Studies. The seminar was organized by 400-level students in the convocation hall at the university, and the host of the program was Miss Shona Olalere. The programme was scheduled for 8:00 AM, but due to some technical issues, we started around 9:25 it was an online seminar using the "Google Meet" application because she was not in the country.  Miss Shona started by welcoming us, we also appreciated the fact that she created time to talk to us. Moving further, we were given a summary of her biography and also the book she has published, " No Cush No Coffee". We also welcomed our head of department, Dr John Ibanga, who acknowledged the other lecturers that were around. STRUCTURE OF AUGUSTINE UNIVERSITY

 Name of University The name of the University is “Augustine University, Ilara-Epe”. The University is named after St.Augustine, a man accepted by most scholars to be the most important figure in the ancient Western church. At the age of nineteen, Augustine read Cicero’s Hortensius, an experience that led him to a fascination with philosophical questions and methods that would remain with him throughout his life. He became attracted to the more sceptical positions of academic philosophers. His works include The Confessions and De Civitate Dei (On the City of God), a study of the relationship between Christianity and secular society, which was inspired by the fall of Rome. St. Augustine stands as a powerful advocate for orthodoxy and of the episcopacy as the sole means for the dispensing of saving grace.              Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society. Before going further I would like to introduce myself. My name is Chude Emeka Emmanuel. Born on April 11 2005 to a Christian family of two boys considering I am the last born in Lagos Nigeria.                I created this blog mostly for enlightening your knowledge about some areas of my life in the aspect of where I find myself.
